Ingredients

Variation 1: Plain Apricot Leather
  • 2.2lb (1kg) apricots
Variation 2: Apricot Leather with Honey
  • 2.2lb (1kg) apricots
  • 1-3 tbsp honey (to taste/preference)
Variation 3: Apricot Leather with Ginger
  • 2.2lb (1kg) apricots
  • ginger

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. For all fruit leather types: blend the apricots in a blender or food processor along with honey or ginger (if using).
  2. Spread the blended fruit on parchment paper or silicone dehydrator mats.
  3. Dehydrate the fruit leather for 6-8 hours or until the fruit leather is dry, but still bendable (See notes).
  4. Remove from dehydrator and cut into strips or desired shapes.
  5. Store in an air-tight container for up to a year.

Notes

  • - The dehydrating time will vary depending on how thick or thin you end up spreading the blended fruit on the trays. Start checking at around 6 hours and dehydrate to desired consistency.
  • -kcal is per 1kg raw fruit. Dehydrated fruit will have higher calories. Note: this is just an estimate.
  • - Serving is approximately 1 pint jar when the fruit leather is cut and rolled up. Though not all might fit depending on how tight you roll them.
