Ingredients
- 1 pound asparagus (1 bunch)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Cut/ remove the bottom, white part, of 1 bunch asparagus (Around 1 pound).
- Rinse/ wash asparagus.
- Pour 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil into the pan and turn on medium fire.
- Then, put the washed and cut asparagus from step 2 into the pan.
- After that, add ¼ teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of garlic powder and 2 tablespoons of water. Stir fry them a little.
- Cover the lid for 1-2 minutes.
- After opening the lid, stir fry them a little and it is ready to serve.

Notes
- I like to pick asparagus that is thin and slim because it is faster to cook and tastes better in texture. If your asparagus is bigger and thicker, I suggest you cut it into half and cook the lower part first, then add the top part for stir frying.
- Cut the bottom part of asparagus, it’s white part because it is hard and tastes a little bit bitter. Therefore, I usually cut a little more off.
- Add some water into the pan and cover the lid for 1-2 minutes. Then, stir fry them a little bit. Remember, don’t over cook them. Greenish and a little bit soft at the lower stems is a good indicator for readiness.
