Austrian Jagertee Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups water
  • 2 Tablespoon black tea leaves
  • 5 cloves whole
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 small orange sliced
  • 1½ Cup red wine
  • ⅓ Cup dark rum
  • ⅓ Cup Schnapps I used Plum
  • sugar to your liking

Instructions

  1. Add the water to a pot and heat it up. Throw in the tea leafs, cloves, cinnamon stick and orange slices.
  2. Boil everything for about 5 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat and pour in your wine, rum, and schnapps.
  4. Keep on a low flame and simmer at this point, or else the alcohol will dissolve. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Strain the Jagatee before serving it hot.
  6. Stir in sugar to your liking.
