Avocado Blueberry Smoothie

Ingredients

  • ¼ avocado
  • ¼ cup blueberries
  • ½ banana
  • ¼ cup baby oatmeal or regular oats (iron fortified)
  • ¼ cup whole milk yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon flax seed meal
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2-3 Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Puree all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 48 hours.

Notes

  • For stronger flavor, use frozen fruit and you won’t have to use as much ice! It’ll keep your smoothie flavor from getting watered down.
  • Make this smoothie ahead of time! You can freeze the individually portioned ingredients for this smoothie in a bag then just toss it all in a blender with some water when you’re ready to make it!
