Avocado Crema Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 cup Mexican crema
  • lime juice of 1
  • salt sea salt and fresh cracked, to taste
  • black pepper sea salt and fresh cracked, to taste

Instructions

  1. Add the peeled and seeded avocado to a large bowl and mash using a hand masher.
  2. Next, add in the crema, lime juice, salt, and pepper and mix until combined. Serve or cover and keep cool.

Notes

  • Make the crema up to two days ahead for convenience and flavor melding.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for three to five days to maintain freshness.
  • Adjust acidity by varying the amount of lime juice to your preference.
  • Add two tablespoons of chopped fresh cilantro for added lemon-lime flavor.
  • Optionally include one finely minced garlic clove for extra depth.
