Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups avocado sliced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaves
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons Jalapeño seeds and ribs removed, then coarsely chopped
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • cilantro leaves for garnish

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place the avocado, cilantro leaves, lime juice, jalapeno, sour cream, salt, cumin and garlic powder in the bowl of a food processor.
  2. Process until completely smooth, 1-2 minutes. Taste and add more salt if desired.
  3. Garnish with cilantro leaves, then serve.

Notes

  • This dip is best served right after it's made as the avocado will brown over an extended period of time.
  • You can make this a chunky dip by combining all the ingredients in a bowl and crushing them together with a fork or potato masher.
  • This dip is on the mild end of the heat scale because the seeds and ribs are removed from the jalapenos. If you prefer a spicy dip, leave some of the seeds and ribs in the pepper.
