Ingredients

  • 2 Nori sheets
  • 2 1/2 cups sushi rice cooked, seasoned, and cooled to room temperature
  • 2 avocado cut into 1/2-inch slices, ripe
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seed roasted
  • soy sauce for serving
  • wasabi for serving
  • pickled ginger for serving

Instructions

  1. Place a nori sheet on a bamboo mat, spread a thin layer of sushi rice on the nori, leaving a small space at the top.
  2. Flip the nori so the rice is facing down and place avocado slices in the center. Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat.
  3. Sprinkle the roll with roasted sesame seeds, then slice into 6 pieces using a wet knife. Serve with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger.
