Avocado Toast
Description
Avocado Toast is made by halving a ripe avocado, removing the pit, and dicing the flesh while still in the skin. It is then seasoned with fresh lemon juice and sea salt to enhance the creamy texture and brighten the flavor. The avocado mixture is scooped onto toasted slices of bread and mashed with a fork to achieve the desired consistency. Optional toppings allow personalization of the toast.
The toast provides a crunchy base, which contrasts with the smooth, buttery avocado, combining textures effectively. The citrus from lemon juice prevents browning and adds freshness. This straightforward method emphasizes the avocado's natural flavor.
This preparation works well as a quick breakfast or light meal and pairs nicely with a variety of toppings like tomatoes, radishes, or eggs depending on preference.
