Ingredients

  • 1 pound Bacon
  • 14 ounces Lit'l Smokies
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Cut the bacon into thirds. Wrap one bacon piece around each smokie.
  3. Place all the wrapped smokies in a single layer in a baking dish.
  4. Melt the stick of butter and add 1 cup of brown sugar. Stir until mixed well.
  5. Pour the butter and brown sugar mixture on the smokies.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cup of brown sugar evenly over the smokies.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes.
  8. Turn the heat up to 400 degrees F for about 15-25 minutes or until the bacon becomes crispy. (see notes)

Notes

  • The original recipe said to cook them at 400 degrees F for 5 minutes, but I found that 20-25 minutes worked great. Check them every 5 minutes or so, and cook to your liking.
