Baked Applesauce
Baked Applesauce is an easy snack made with just 4 ingredients! Green apples, brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon turn into a sweet Autumn treat.
Ingredients
- 4 pounds apple about 8, Granny Smith variety
- 1/2 cup brown sugar , packed
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Peel, core, and chop the apples into large chunks.
- Place the apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg into a large dutch oven or a 9x13 baking dish (if using a baking dish, cover tightly with foil).
- Cook for 40-45 minutes, then carefully remove from oven and smash with a fork or let cool completely before pureeing smooth.
