Ingredients

  • 1-1 ¼ lbs. chicken breasts cut into 4-5 oz. portions
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 lime juice
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 2 cloves garlic finely minced
  • ½ tsp. salt to taste

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Marinate the chicken: Mix together the barbecue sauce, honey, lime juice, garlic, and salt in a large bowl. Reserve ¼ cup of it. Add the chicken and toss until well combined. Optional: Marinade for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  3. Bake the chicken: Add the chicken to a 9x13-inch baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 24-26 minutes, brushing with the remaining marinade during the last 5 minutes of cooking. You’ll know the chicken is done when the middle is no longer pink and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

Notes

  • How to prep ahead of time: Make the marinade and let the chicken chill for up to overnight in the fridge.
  • How to store: Leftover chicken will last for up to 3-4 days if sealed in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • How to freeze: Place chicken in a freezer-safe container for up to 4 to 6 months.
  • How to reheat: You can warm the chicken back up in the microwave, air fryer, or oven.
