Baked Chicken Wings
Baked Chicken Wings are marinated in a spiced yogurt mixture that includes cumin, paprika, chili pepper, and garlic paste, resulting in flavorful wings with a tender inside and slightly crisp exterior. Baking at moderate temperature and basting during cooking helps brown and coat the wings nicely. This recipe offers a practical way to enjoy a flavorful appetizer or main dish paired with sides like oven fries.
Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken wings with skin
- 50 g yogurt
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp chilli pepper crushed
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 3 tbsp tomato puree
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- In a large bowl add the marinade ingredients and mix until all the ingredients are evenly combined
- Add the chicken wings to the marinade then coat the chicken wings all over with the marinade then set aside for 1 hour
- Place a single layer of the chicken wings on top of a baking tray with a wire rack
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) or gas mark 6 for 20 minutes
- Baste with melted butter or oil then flip the wings over and bake for a further 20 minutes
- Pair with a side of oven fries and enjoy!
