Baked Feta Recipe with Honey And Zaatar

This Baked Feta recipe uses a block of feta cheese drizzled with olive oil, baked until soft, then topped with honey, zaatar, and oregano before broiling. Ingredients

  • 8 oz feta cheese see notes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp zaatar
  • 1 tsp oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Place the feta on a small cast iron skillet. 
  2. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 15 minutes. 
  3. Turn the broiler on and top the feta with honey, zaatar and oregano. 
  4. Broil for 3-5 minutes until the top is toasted and the cheese is gooey. Top with more zaatar if desired. 
  5. Serve with crackers, bread or pita chips.

Notes

  • Use a block of feta in brine for stronger flavor; pat it dry slightly before baking.
  • The amounts of honey, zaatar, and oregano can be adjusted to suit your sweetness and herb preference.
  • If a small cast iron skillet is unavailable, any oven-safe dish is suitable for baking the feta.
