Baked Fish
This Baked Fish recipe seasons cod fillets with a blend of salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, and crushed chili pepper, then drizzles olive oil before baking. The spices create a flavorful crust, while baking at 200°C (400°F) cooks the fish through without drying it, resulting in tender, seasoned fish ideal for pairing with a fresh salad.
Ingredients
- 6 pieces fish Cod
- olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp chilli pepper crushed
Instructions
- In a small bowl mix all the dry spices together until well combined
- Dry the fish thoroughly then place onto a baking tray lined with foil
- Drizzle the olive oil generously on top of the fish then brush all over before sprinkling on the spice mixture and pat it into the fish before repeating the same process on the other side
- Bake for 15-20 minutes on 200°C (400°F) gas mark 6 until the fish is cooked through
- Serve with a side of salad and enjoy!

- Pat the fish dry thoroughly before applying oil and spices to help achieve a crisp and well-seasoned crust.
- Bake the fish until just cooked through to avoid drying; cooking time will depend on thickness.
