Baked Fish

This Baked Fish recipe seasons cod fillets with a blend of salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, and crushed chili pepper, then drizzles olive oil before baking. The spices create a flavorful crust, while baking at 200°C (400°F) cooks the fish through without drying it, resulting in tender, seasoned fish ideal for pairing with a fresh salad.

Description

The recipe mixes dry spices to coat cod fillets thoroughly after brushing them generously with olive oil. The fish is then baked in a foil-lined tray at 200°C (400°F) for 15 to 20 minutes until fully cooked. The spice rub imparts warmth, savory depth, and a mild heat. The olive oil helps keep the fish moist and enhances the spices' adherence.

The texture of the baked cod should be flaky and tender, with a slightly crisp exterior from the spice coating. Serving alongside a salad offers a light, balanced meal contrasting the flavorful fish.

No additional preparation steps are required, and the recipe allows straightforward cooking with common spices and easily handled fish portions. The nutritional information is provided for courtesy but not guaranteed.
