Baked Parmesan Crisps

Baked Parmesan crisps offer a simple way to enjoy crunchy, cheesy snacks made from shredded Parmesan cheese baked until golden and crisp. Optional pepperoni slices add a savory meat topping. The crisps have a firm, brittle texture and a rich, salty flavor characteristic of Parmesan.

Ingredients

  • 12 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese shredded, not grated
  • 6 pieces pepperoni optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Using a measuring tablespoon, scoop small mounds of the cheese onto the baking sheet, keeping them about an inch apart.
  3. Gently flatten the mounds with your fingers.
  4. If you'd like, you can top half of the mounds with pepperoni slices.
  5. Bake the cheese mounds until browned and crisp, 10-12 minutes.
  6. Let them cool for a minute on the baking sheet, then transfer them to a cooling rack and let them cool for five more minutes before enjoying them.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal of crisps from the pan.
  • Nutrition information excludes optional pepperoni slices.
  • Store plain crisps in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days; they may lose some crunchiness but remain enjoyable.
  • Crisps with pepperoni topping store best refrigerated in an airtight container and can be reheated briefly in the microwave at low power.
