Baked Parmesan Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef, pork or a combination
  • ½ cup bread or panko crumbs
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, if desired
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and get out your ingredients.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Chop and dice up your onions until in small pieces and add to large mixing bowl.
  4. Add egg to large mixing bowl.
  5. Using a spoon or your hands, mix ingredients until blended. Do not overmix.
  6. Mixture will look like something like this
  7. Using a spoon or your fingers, grab enough of the meat mixture to make a meatball, between 1 ½ and 2 inches in diameter.
  8. Form entire bowl of meat mixture into meatballs.
  9. Place meatballs evenly spaced on a greased baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 145ºF.
  11. Serve with marinara sauce.
  12. Enjoy every bite!
