Baked Plantains - Sierra Leone Flavours

Baked Plantains from Sierra Leone are sliced raw plantains brushed with oil, seasoned lightly with salt, then baked until golden and lightly caramelized at the edges. The baking produces a tender inside and slightly crisp exterior, preserving the natural sweetness of plantains. This simple preparation offers a savory-sweet side dish or snack with minimal ingredients and effort.
