Ingredients
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- ½ cup flour
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- sea salt, to taste
- 2½ lbs chicken wings
- ½ cup of Frank's Original Hot Sauce warmed
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
- Blue cheese dressing, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Drizzle the oil on the baking sheet and spread it evenly over its surface.
- Season the wings by combining the flour, garlic powder, black pepper, and sea salt to taste in a large zip lock bag; seal and mix until well combined.
- Add a large handful of wings to the flour mixture and toss until evenly coated.
- Remove from the flour, shaking excess off; place the skin side UP on the prepared baking sheet without crowding them. Repeat with the remaining wings. Discard any leftover flour.
- Bake the wings by placing them on the baking sheet in the oven and baking them undisturbed for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, carefully flip the wings over, and bake for another 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and place on paper towels to drain grease.
- Make the sauce by combining Frank's hot sauce and the melted butter; heat in the microwave for 30 seconds to get hot.
- Place the wings in a large bowl, drizzle the well-whisked sauce on the wings, and toss to coat evenly.
- Serve immediately with blue cheese dressing on the side, if desired. Enjoy.
