Baked Wild Salmon Patties
Baked Wild Salmon Patties combine canned wild Alaska red salmon with fresh cilantro, green onions, and mild Thai curry paste, bound together with egg and lemon zest. These patties have a firm texture with a subtle citrus and savory curry flavor, baked to a light golden finish without frying. The recipe yields six evenly sized patties designed to cook uniformly in the oven, offering a straightforward way to enjoy salmon with a hint of spice and herbs.
Ingredients
- 2 red salmon wild Alaska, canned
- 3 tbsp cilantro (coriander), chopped
- 3 green onion (spring onions), finely minced
- 1 tbsp Thai curry paste mild
- 1/2 tsp lemon zest
- 1 egg
- salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 F / 190 C / gas 5.
- Open the salmon tins, drain and remove any bones (you can also leave them in if you prefer. I personally like the bones).
- Add to bowl along with rest of ingredients.
- Mix and form into 6 uniformly sized patties.
- Place on baking tray and spray lightly with low calorie spray.
- Bake for 15-20 mins.
Notes
- Form salmon patties uniformly to ensure even baking and cooking times.
- Swap Thai curry paste with Old Bay seasoning or fresh herbs like dill and thyme to vary flavors.
- Smaller patties can be made as bite-sized appetizers.
- These patties contain zero Freestyle Points according to Weight Watchers.
