Balsamic Vinegar Reduction
There is nothing quite like the intense and robust flavors of homemade Balsamic Glaze. With just a few steps you'll never want store bought again!
Ingredients
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon allulose confectioners
Instructions
- Add the balsamic vinegar and allulose to a saucepan , whisk to combine and turn on low heat.
- Simmer on low, whisking often, for 12-15 minutes, or until reduced by at least half and thickened up nicely. Remember, it will continue to thicken as it cools.
- Be very careful not to simmer the vinegar too high, otherwise you run the risk of burning it and there's no coming back from that. You would have to start all over with a fresh batch.
- It's well worth taking the time to do it right because when you do, you will have a beautiful thick and rich glaze! Store in an airtight jar for up to 1 month.
Notes
- Makes about ½ cup.
- If you don't have allulose, you can use Swerve confectioners. You can also omit the sweetener all together. The small amount of allulose doesn't make it too sweet, it just gives it a tiny bit of sweetness.
