This Banana Bread Brownies is my favorite way to use ripe bananas. They’re rich, moist and topped with a delicious frosting!

Banana Bars
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs room temperature
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cups ripe bananas mashed (3-4 bananas)
Cream Cheese Frosting
- 1 ounce package of cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cups butter softened
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 to 4 cups confectioners' sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 370°F
- Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick baking spray. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat together sugar, sour cream, eggs, and butter until creamy.
- Blend in bananas and vanilla.
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until completely blended.
- Pour the batter into the baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set. Let cool before frosting

Cream Cheese Frosting:
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla until fluffy.
- Gradually beat in enough confectioners' sugar to achieve desired consistency.
- Frost bars and sprinkle with cinnamon (optional). Store in the refrigerator.
