Banana Cake
Banana Cake uses very ripe mashed bananas combined with dark brown sugar and warming spices to produce a moist, tender cake with deep banana flavor and hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Ingredients
- 2 cups banana about 4 bananas) mashed, very ripe
- 1 cup dark brown sugar , packed
- 3/4 sugar
- 2/3 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large egg
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups cream cheese frosting , (Homemade Recipe)
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x13 baking pan with baking spray.
- Whisk together the bananas, dark brown sugar, sugar, sour cream, vegetable oil and eggs until smooth.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and salt.
- Whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
- Pour the batter into the baking dish, spread evenly and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting with Cream Cheese Frosting (Recipe).
