Banana Pancakes
Banana Pancakes incorporate mashed bananas into a traditional batter of flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, buttermilk, egg, and vanilla. The addition of sliced bananas on top while cooking adds fresh fruit flavor and texture. The result is pancakes that are moist and tender with natural sweetness and slight banana aroma, ideal for a comforting breakfast served with butter and maple syrup.
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour white or wheat
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup banana mashed
- 1-2 banana sliced
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, soda, and salt together in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the buttermilk, egg, and and vanilla extract together.
- Pour buttermilk mixture into the dry ingredients and stir. Stir in the mashed bananas.
