Ingredients

Cake Ingredients:
  • 1½ cups all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed about 1 ¼ cup
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup canola oil
  • 2 large eggs
Topping Ingredients:
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons salted butter melted
  • 3 ripe bananas ⅓ inch slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, and grease a 9-inch springform cake pan.
  2. In a small bowl, combine all topping ingredients and press into the bottom of prepared pan.
  3. Layer banana slices on top of mixture.
  4. In a large bowl, combine all cake ingredients and pour on top of banana layer.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted.
  6. Carefully turn out onto a platter and serve.
