Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper Adjust to taste
  • salt To taste
  • black pepper To taste
  • Coriander

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a bowl, combine the vegetable oil, soy sauce, ketchup, honey, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well to make the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken wings in a large resealable plastic bag or a bowl. Pour the marinade over the wings, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. For best results, marinate for 3-4 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken wings from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off. Reserve the marinade for basting.
  5. Place the chicken wings on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice char. During the last few minutes of cooking, brush the wings with the reserved marinade to add extra flavour.
  6. Once the chicken wings are cooked, transfer them to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves for a burst of freshness.
  7. Serve the barbecued chicken wings hot as an appetizer or as part of a delicious meal. They pair wonderfully with coleslaw, grilled corn, or your favourite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to suit your desired level of spiciness.
  • If you prefer a smokier flavour, you can use smoked salt in the marinade.
  • These barbecued chicken wings are perfect for outdoor gatherings, parties, or even a casual weeknight dinner.
