Ingredients

  • 11 ounces goat cheese Montchevre brand
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese whipped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 lemon zested
  • 1 teaspoon thyme fresh leaves
  • salt Kosher salt and freshly cracked, to taste
  • black pepper Kosher salt and freshly cracked, to taste
  • ¾ cup basil fresh leaves
Crudités for serving
  • cucumber Persian
  • snap peas
  • radish
  • carrot

Instructions

  1. Combine the goat cheese, cream cheese, garlic, red pepper flakes, lemon zest and thyme leaves in a food processor. Whip for 60-90 seconds until smooth. Add the basil and pulse until green specks are throughout the mixture. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
  2. Serve with the crudités. Whipped goat cheese stores in the fridge for 7-10 days.

Notes

  • Use the spread as a dip for raw vegetables or crackers.
  • Spread on toasted bread for sandwiches with a tangy flavor.
  • Thin with pasta water to blend into hot pasta for extra creaminess.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 10 days to keep fresh.
