Basil Whipped Goat Cheese
This Basil Whipped Goat Cheese is a creamy, herb-infused spread blending tangy goat cheese and cream cheese with garlic, lemon zest, thyme, and fresh basil. Whipped until smooth with specks of bright green basil, it offers a versatile accompaniment for crudités, crackers, toasted bread, or even pasta.
Ingredients
- 11 ounces goat cheese Montchevre brand
- 3 tablespoons cream cheese whipped
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 lemon zested
- 1 teaspoon thyme fresh leaves
- salt Kosher salt and freshly cracked, to taste
- black pepper Kosher salt and freshly cracked, to taste
- ¾ cup basil fresh leaves
Crudités for serving
- cucumber Persian
- snap peas
- radish
- carrot
Instructions
- Combine the goat cheese, cream cheese, garlic, red pepper flakes, lemon zest and thyme leaves in a food processor. Whip for 60-90 seconds until smooth. Add the basil and pulse until green specks are throughout the mixture. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve with the crudités. Whipped goat cheese stores in the fridge for 7-10 days.
