BBQ Bacon Chicken Bake

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup Shredded Colby Jack Shredded Cheese
  • 6 lices Bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • 2 green onions (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Heat the oil olive in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the chicken in the skillet and brown both sides for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Place in an oven safe baking dish.
  4. Add about 1 tablespoon of the BBQ sauce to each chicken breast.
  5. Bake in 400 degree oven for 20-25 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  6. Then top the chicken with the shredded cheese and crumbled, cooked bacon.
  7. Bake for 5 more minutes until the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove the chicken from the oven. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
  9. Serve topped with the green onions and enjoy!

Notes

  • Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
