Beef And Broccoli Noodles
These delicious Beef And Broccoli Noodles are the perfect quick weeknight dinner recipe since they're ready in 20 minutes or less. Kid approved too!
Ingredients
For Stir-Fry
- 1 lb flank steak thinly sliced
- 1 head broccoli chopped into florets
- 1 teaspoon ginger minced, fresh
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- black pepper to taste
- salt to taste
- 6 oz egg noodles
For Sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1/2 cup soy sauce low-sodium
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3/4 cup beef stock low-sodium; or chicken stock
Garnish
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds optional, toasted
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix thoroughly all the sauce ingredients together using a fork or a whisk. Make sure there are no lumps from the cornstarch. Set aside
- Place a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli and cook for 30 seconds
- Remove broccoli from water and quickly throw them in a colander and pour cold water on top to stop them from cooking further. Set them aside until ready to use
- On the same pot of boiling salted water add the noodles and cook for 8-9 minutes. When ready, drain
- Meanwhile, heat a large rimmed skillet over medium-high heat. Pour the sesame oil
- Add the beef and cook on both sides for 3-4 minutes or until beef has browned
- Reduce heat and add the ginger and garlic. Stir-Fry for 2-3 minutes or until the garlic is cooked
- Pour the sauce in and let it cook for 2 minutes or until thick and bubbly. Add the drained noodles, stir. Add the broccoli and stir until everything is combined
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve. Enjoy!
