Beef Chow Fun

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces flank steak thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce low-sodium
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 8 ounces wide rice noodles cooked according to package instructions
  • 1 onion sliced, medium
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup bean sprout rinsed
  • 2 green onions cut into 2-inch pieces

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and baking soda for 15 minutes.
  2. In a wok or large pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat and stir-fry the beef until browned. Remove beef and set aside.
  3. In the same wok, add the remaining oil, onions, and garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Add the cooked noodles and dark soy sauce, stir-frying until the noodles are heated through.
  4. Return the beef to the wok, add oyster sauce, and mix well. Stir in the bean sprouts and green onions, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
