Ingredients

For the Beef
  • 1 pound flank steak sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
For the Stir Fry
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil divided into 2
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 red pepper sliced
  • 200 grams snap peas (7 oz, ¼ pound)
  • ¼ cup oyster sauce

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, water, oyster sauce, and cornstarch to the sliced flank steak. Mix until combined. Set aside in the fridge for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat up a tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add the marinaded beef to it in a single layer. Depending on the size of your skillet, you may have to do it in batches.
  3. Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Set the beef aside.
  4. Give the skillet a quick wipe with a paper towel. Add another tablespoon of oil to the pan. Add the sliced onions and saute them for 2 minutes and then add the sliced bell peppers and snap peas. Saute for another 2 to 3 minutes, depending on how tender you’d like the bell pepper and snap peas to be.
  5. Add the beef back to the skillet and add ¼ cup of oyster sauce to the beef and vegetables. Toss to combine. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
