Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 12 oz beer
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon fresh sage

Instructions

  1. Grease 9x5x3″ loaf pan.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Add beer, thyme, sage, and cheese, and mix well.
  4. Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake at 350 F for 45 minutes.
  5. Turn out on the rack to cool.
  6. Let cool completely before slicing.
