Beet Juice
Beet Juice is a vibrant blend of fresh beets, apple, carrot, lemon, orange, cucumber, and ginger. It can be made using a juicer or blender, resulting in a refreshing, nutrient-rich drink with a balance of earthiness, sweetness, and citrus brightness, optionally enhanced with sumac.
Ingredients
- 2 beet peeled and diced, red
- 1 apple cored and diced, large gala or fuji
- 2 carrot peeled and diced
- 1 lemon peeled and diced
- 1 orange peeled and diced
- 1 cucumber peeled and diced, Persian
- 1- inch ginger peeled, piece, fresh
- 1 Pinch sumac about ½ teaspoon, optional
Instructions
- Juicer method: Run the beets, apple, carrots, lemon, orange, cucumber, and ginger through your juicer. Pour and enjoy
- Blender method: Add the beets, apples, carrots, citrus, cucumber, and ginger to your blender. Add 1 cup of water. Close the lid and blend on medium-high speed until everything is fully liquified. Strain through a fine mesh strainer before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh, high-quality produce for the best flavor and nutrition in your juice.
- Sumac is optional but adds a subtle tart note; it can be found at Mediterranean or Middle Eastern specialty shops.
- The juice can be made with a juicer for smoother texture or blended with water and strained to retain some fiber.
