Beet Juice

Beet Juice is a vibrant blend of fresh beets, apple, carrot, lemon, orange, cucumber, and ginger. It can be made using a juicer or blender, resulting in a refreshing, nutrient-rich drink with a balance of earthiness, sweetness, and citrus brightness, optionally enhanced with sumac.

Description

The Beet Juice recipe combines peeled and diced red beets, apple, carrot, lemon, orange, cucumber, and a piece of fresh ginger to create a layered flavor profile. The juice highlights the earthiness of beets paired with the sweetness of apple and carrot, balanced by citrus from lemon and orange, and the cool freshness of cucumber. Fresh ginger adds a gentle spicy warmth.

Two preparation methods are offered: running all ingredients through a juicer for a smooth, pulp-free juice, or blending with water followed by straining, which retains more fiber but still produces a liquid drink. The optional addition of sumac contributes a subtle tart and slightly lemony note.

This juice serves well as a revitalizing beverage that combines multiple fresh produce flavors with nutritional value. Its bright color and balanced flavor make it appealing for health-conscious drinkers or those looking for a natural refreshment.

Quality Mediterranean ingredients such as sumac can be sourced from specialty shops to enhance the recipe's authenticity and flavor.
