Bell Pepper Pizzas
Bell Pepper Pizzas use large bell pepper sections as a natural crust topped with pizza sauce, cheese, and a variety of vegetable toppings. The peppers bake until tender with melted cheese bubbling on top, creating a low-carb, colorful snack or appetizer. A sprinkle of red pepper flakes and herbs adds brightness and a subtle kick to the mild pepper base. This recipe allows for customizable toppings and easy portion control.
Ingredients
- 1 bell pepper large
- ¼ cup pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce
- ¼ cup cheese grated
- red pepper flakes a pinch
- basil or parsley; a pinch
- as many toppings as you can fit!
Instructions
- Pre-heat your oven or toaster oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Slice off each of the four sides of your pepper and lay flat on a baking sheet.
- Top with sauce, then cheese, followed by any and every veggie in your crisper! I added broccoli and tomatoes to mine.
- Bake for 10 minutes, flipping your oven to broil towards the end to make the cheese nice and bubbly.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes and basil/parsley if desired and dig in!

- Add your favorite vegetables or other toppings to customize flavor and texture.
