Best Ever Thai Peanut Sauce Recipe
This Thai Peanut Sauce blends creamy natural peanut butter with soy sauce, rice vinegar, and a balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy elements. Ginger and garlic add warmth and depth, while lime juice brightens the flavor. The sauce can be thinned with warm water to achieve a range of consistencies for dipping or drizzling.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup peanut butter natural, unsweetened
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce use tamari or coconut aminos for gluten free, low sodium
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons Chili garlic sauce more or less to taste
- 1 tablespoon lime juice fresh
- 3 garlic pressed or grated, cloves
- 1 tablespoon ginger root grated
- 2-4 tablespoons water warm
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except water. Whisk to fully combine.
- Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached. I normally use 2 tablespoons for a sauce and up to four if using it for a dressing.
Notes
- Using natural unsweetened peanut butter helps control sweetness; conventional peanut butter may require reducing the brown sugar.
