  • 4 ounces lime juice fresh squeezed is best
  • 2 ounces simple syrup may also use honey or agave
  • 3 cups ice

  • grapefruit wedge for garnish, or slice of lime
  • rosemary or basil, sprig
  • salt or sugar, rimming
  • 1/2 lime cut into quarters

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Pour some margarita salt or sugar onto a shallow plate. Run a lime wedge along the rim of your glasses and dip it into the margarita salt or sugar. Set aside.

  3. Blend for about 30 seconds or until the mixture is smooth and there are no more ice chunks. Pour into the prepared glasses and garnish with a grapefruit slice. Enjoy!

Notes

  • To omit alcohol, leave out tequila and increase grapefruit juice or use grapefruit mixer for a refreshing mocktail.
  • Vodka can replace tequila; try grapefruit-infused vodka to enhance fruity notes.
  • Doubling ingredients allows preparation of a frozen Paloma pitcher for 8 servings.
  • Traditional Paloma can be made by mixing tequila, fresh juices, sparkling water, and sweetener; served over ice with rimmed glass.
  • Adjust sweetness with honey or agave syrup as preferred.
  • For a spicy twist, add hot sauce or rim glass with chili powder or Tajin.
  • Use Mezcal instead of tequila for a smoky flavor variation.
  • Add other fruit juices like blood orange or pomegranate for additional flavors.
  • Include sparkling mixers such as club soda or grapefruit soda for bubbles.
