Ingredients

  • 2 pounds potatoes either starchy - waxy or a mix of both
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 7 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup half and half
  • freshly ground black or white pepper - to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the potatoes until fork tender.
  2. Mash with salt, butter, and half and half.
  3. Season with freshly ground pepper
