Best Polenta Recipe Collection

If you haven’t tried polenta yet, you don’t know what you’re missing! A classic Italian dish, polenta makes a creamy and comforting side or main meal. There is so much you can do with polenta, from meals to cakes!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup polenta coarse cornmeal
  • 1 ½ cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Warm milk and water in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to medium. Whisk vigorously while gradually adding polenta. Reduce to a simmer.
  3. Reduce to low heat, cover, and cook until thickened. Whisk occasionally (every 10 to 15 minutes) for a total of 30-35 minutes.
  4. Remove the pan from heat. Add parmesan, butter, salt, and pepper. Whisk until butter and cheese are melted, about 1 minute. Serve warm.
