Birthday Cake Overnight Oats

Report
Birthday Cake Overnight Oats combines old fashioned oats, Greek yogurt, and cake batter protein powder for a creamy and textured breakfast option. The addition of almond extract and rainbow sprinkles adds subtle sweetness and festive color, while chia seeds contribute a slight crunch. Prepared the night before, this oats recipe offers a convenient and flavorful start to the day with a nod to birthday cake fun.

Description

Birthday Cake Overnight Oats blend oats, vanilla Greek yogurt, and cake batter protein powder to create a creamy base that thickens overnight. The almond extract enhances the flavor subtly, while rainbow sprinkles add a cheerful visual and slight sugary crunch. Chia seeds introduce texture, absorbing moisture and helping thicken the mixture further. After refrigerating in jars for several hours, the oats develop a smooth yet slightly chewy consistency. This recipe delivers a playful take on classic overnight oats, suitable for a make-ahead breakfast or snack.

The oats develop a balanced flavor through the combination of protein powder and almond extract, complemented by bursts of sweetness from sprinkles. Preparation requires no cooking, only mixing and refrigeration. Stirring before serving allows integration of any settled liquid. Whipped cream or extra milk can be added just before serving for creaminess or loosened texture.

This dish serves well as a convenient breakfast for busy mornings, offering nutritional elements like oats and protein powder in a portable form. Its colorful appearance and subtle sweetness make it appealing to both adults and children. The recipe stores well in the refrigerator for up to three days, making it practical for meal prep.

The notes mention that the oats are best eaten within three days to avoid excessive mushiness. It also suggests plant-based substitutions to make the recipe vegan, including plant milk, non-dairy yogurt, and vegan protein powder.
