Black Bean Soup with Bacon + Beer

Ingredients
- 8 lices Bacon not thick cut, finely chopped
- 2 onion chopped (about 2 ½ cups, medium
- 6 garlic finely minced, cloves
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 can chicken broth reduced-sodium, 15-ounce
- 1 bottle Pilsner beer recommended: Pacifico Clara, light style, 8-ounce can
- 1 can chopped tomatoes 15-ounce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cans black beans drained and rinsed, 15-ounce cans
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste, freshly ground
- 1 cilantro roughly chopped, for serving, bunch
- scallions for serving, thinly sliced
- sour cream for serving
- cheddar cheese for serving, grated
- lime for serving, fresh, wedges
- tortilla chips for serving
