Ingredients
- 1 cup black sesame seeds
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 4 cups filtered water
Instructions
- Soak the sesame seeds in warm water for 20 to 30 minutes. Be sure there’s enough water to cover the seeds.
- Rinse and drain, using a fine-mesh sieve.
- Transfer to the blender with a pinch of salt, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and 4 cups of cold filtered water.
- Blend on high speed for 1 to 2 minutes. Taste and add more maple syrup if desired.
- Strain through a fine-mesh sieve or a nut milk bag or a cheesecloth. Squeeze out as much liquid as you can.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge if not enjoyed immediately.
