Blender Poppy Seed Dressing with Sweet Onion
Grab your blender and whip up this super easy poppy seed dressing made with fresh onion. It's tangy and sweet with a burst of poppy seeds throughout—perfect for a simple salad or as a dip!
Ingredients
- 75-100 grams sweet onion
- 1 clove garlic
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup white wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- ½ cup neutral oil vegetable, canola, or grapeseed
- salt to taste
- ½ Tablespoon poppy seeds
Instructions
- Add onion, garlic, sugar, vinegar, and dijon mustard to a blender and puree until combined.
- Add oil and continue blending until combined. Taste test and add salt, usually about 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt is great!
- Strain the onion pulp through a fine mesh sieve on top of a bowl or measuring cup. Discard the pulp and stir the poppy seeds into the smooth dressing. Enjoy on a salad or store in the fridge for later use.
