BLT Pasta Salad

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fusili pasta or any other small shaped pasta
  • ¾ pound Bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1½ cups cherry tomatoes halved
  • 6 cups romaine lettuce chopped
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese grated

Instructions

  1. Cook the fusilli pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and rinse the pasta with cold water.
  2. In a large bowl combine the cooked pasta, crumbled bacon, cherry tomatoes, romaine lettuce. Toss well.
  3. Pour the ranch dressing over the salad and add the Parmesan cheese. Toss well to coat.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving, to allow the flavors to meld together.

Notes

  • Pasta Choice: You can use any small pasta shape for this recipe. Penne, farfalle, or macaroni would all work well.
  • Bacon: For a vegetarian version, substitute the bacon with a plant-based alternative or add a pinch of smoked paprika for a smoky flavor.
  • Dressing: If Ranch isn't your thing, feel free to substitute with your favorite dressing. A Caesar or a vinaigrette would also work nicely.
  • Add-Ins: This salad is highly customizable. Feel free to add in extras like cubed avocado, boiled eggs, shredded chicken, or crumbled blue cheese.
