BLT sandwich

This classic BLT sandwich is a great go to recipe for a quick lunch that the whole family will love. Crisp lettuce, bacon and juicy tomatoes are sandwiched between toasted slices of bread for one simple but delicious bite.

Ingredients

  • 8 lices bread toasted
  • 2 tomatoes thick sliced in rounds
  • 8 lices cooked thick cut bacon
  • lettuce (iceberg, bibb, or Romaine)
  • 8 Tablespoon mayo

Instructions

  1. Wash lettuce, dry and cut into shreds.
  2. Spread each slice of bread with 1 tablespoon mayonnaise.
  3. Top with bacon, tomatoes and lettuce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Cut in half and serve.

Notes

  • I definitely recommend toasting your bread. It adds a great crunch and I also find it easier to eat this way.
  • Dry your lettuce well before adding to the sandwich to avoid soggy bread.
  • Use pre-cooked bacon to make this BLT sandwich super quick to assemble.
