Blueberry Vodka Lemonade
Blueberry Vodka Lemonade combines a homemade blueberry simple syrup with vodka, lemonade, and lemon-flavored club soda for a refreshing, fruit-forward cocktail. The syrup simmered from fresh or frozen blueberries provides a naturally sweet and vibrant base. It is served over ice and garnished with fresh blueberries, lemon slices, and herbs, creating a visually appealing and balanced drink. The fizzy club soda adds lightness while the lemon components brighten the taste.
Ingredients
For the simple syrup
- ¼ cup cane sugar
- ¼ cup water
- ⅔ cup blueberries fresh or frozen
For the cocktails
- 8 oz vodka 2 oz per drink, Deep Eddy Lemon flavored
- 16 oz club soda 4 oz per drink, lemon
- 20 oz lemonade 5 oz per drink, Minute Maid Zero Sugar
- blueberries for garnish, fresh; lemon slices
- lemon
- herbs
Instructions
- First, make the blueberry simple syrup. Heat a sauce pot to medium heat and add cane sugar, water, and fresh blueberries. Allow blueberries to break down, forming a beautiful berry sauce - it will take 7-10 minutes. Stir every few minutes to avoid blueberries from burning.
- Grab 4 serving glasses and add ice to each one.
- Add ¼ of the blueberry simple syrup (~2 tablespoons) into each glass on top of the ice. You can use less if you’d like your cocktail less sweet.
- Pour in vodka, lemonade, and top with Lemon club soda.
- Garnish with fresh berries, mint, and serve with a straw. This cocktail is going to rock your world.
Notes
- You can replace blueberries in the simple syrup with strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, or cherries to vary the flavor.
- For a frozen version, freeze lemonade in an ice cube tray and blend with the other ingredients for a slushy texture.
