Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork
- ½ small onion, finely diced, about ¼ cup
- 1 small carrot, grated, about ¼ cup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- canola or vegetable oil, for frying
- sweet chili sauce, for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the 1 pound ground pork, ½ small onion,1 small carrot,2 cloves garlic,¼ cup panko breadcrumbs, e1 large egg, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper.
- Mix everything until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and set aside.
- Fill a large skillet halfway with canola or vegetable oil,. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Using tongs or a spider spatula, add the meatballs to the hot oil. Be careful not to overcrowd the skillet. Fry the meatballs, flipping halfway through until cooked through and browned on the outside, about 4-5 minutes.
- Cool on a plate lined with paper towels. Serve the meatballs warm with a side of sweet chili sauce, for dipping.
