Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter more for greasing pan, unsalted
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins , optional
  • 4 large egg beaten
  • 6 cups bread cut into 2 inch cubes, day old

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease an 8x8 baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl whisk melted butter, half and half, vanilla, sugar, salt, raisins (optional) and eggs together. 
  3. Add in the bread until well combined then put into the 8x8 pan, then let sit for at least 60 minutes.
  4. Bake for 40-45 minutes before serving warm or at room temperature.
