Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add water, milk, and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a wet dough forms.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
