Breakfast Quiche

When cold cereal just isn't enough, call upon this dish for the eggy, cheesy, savory crusted omelet of your dreams.

Ingredients

  • 1 premade pie crust refrigerated
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk or cream
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cooked ham chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese divided
  • 3 tablespoons green onions sliced

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Gently unroll the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie plate. Crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk or cream, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  4. Evenly distribute the chopped ham, 1 cup of shredded cheese, and the green onions in the crust. Carefully pour the egg mixture over those ingredients. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese over the egg mixture.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the quiche is set in the center and the cheese is golden brown.
  6. Allow the quiche to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing. Serve immediately.
